The University of Regina offers credit and non-credit courses that can give you the edge you need to succeed at work or home:

  • URAA Alumni Professional Development Award
    Interested in coming back to school to grow your skills and knowledge? We are here to help. The Centre for Continuing Education at the University of Regina offers Professional Microcredentials programs designed to help you brush up on your know-how or add new skills to your professional repertoire. 

    As a University of Regina Alumni, the University of Regina Alumni Association will invest in you so that you can achieve your career goals. As an alumni, you are eligible for up to $500 per term to help support your costs.

    Credit Students: Apply for this grant through the Student Awards office and continue your education at the University of Regina today! Once you click the link to the Student Awards webpage you can register or enter as a guest and search for URAA Alumni Professional Development Award to learn more.  


    Non-credit students (Professional Development Certificates, Professional Microcredentials and Badges): Complete the Application Form and email to: SIS.Noncredit@uregina.ca

Career Help

As a University of Regina alumni member, you can take advantage of the career advice offered by the U of R's Centre for Experiential and Service Learning, up to five years post-graduation.   CESL is located in room RC163 of the Riddell Centre.

Services Available

The Centre for Experiential and Service Learning helps both students and graduates from every faculty to connect with employers to find the ideal job. There are several ways to get started!

  • Career Counselling and Assessments - access 1:1 career support and optional career assessments to help you make informed decisions about your career direction
  • Career Education Workshops - view upcoming hands-on workshops on topics such as interview skills, resumes, job searches, portfolios and more

Please note:  Appointments and workshops can be accessed on UR Path.  Alumni of one year or less have access to the system.  Alumni of one to five years can email experiential.learning@uregina.ca for career support.

  • U of R Job Board - sign up to search job postings from outside companies
  • Career Fairs - talk face-to-face with recruiters at career fairs, one of the many events organized by Student Employment Services
  • Meet the Employers - enjoy meeting employers one-on-one in this informal, no-pressure setting

Email for life

Alumni can receive a permanent U of R email address - for life! Those who are recent U of R graduates can continue to use the same email address they had as a student.

No matter where your new career takes you, or how many times you have to move...you won't have to change your email address! Never lose track of old friends as they'll always know how to reach you!

How to get your Email for Life

Interested? Complete and submit your completed online Alumni Email for Life Application form.

Requests to obtain "Email for Life" are processed within approximately 30 working days of the request date. The University will contact all new subscribers when their e-mail account becomes active.

Alumni Library Card
With an alumni library card you can borrow books, audio recordings, and other materials from the library collection. You can also access a selection of electronic journals and databases available to alumni members. Visit the Help Desk at the Dr. John Archer Library to sign up for your free alumni library card today or click https://library.uregina.ca/online/alumni for further information on library services for alumni members.

Transcripts

You may require a copy of your transcript from the U of R when you apply for jobs or pursue additional post-secondary education.

Unofficial Transcript

All past and present University of Regina students can access and print their unofficial transcript by logging into UR Self-Service. (Note: Your user ID is your student number. If you forget your PIN, click on the HELP link in the upper right-corner of your screen.)

Official Transcript

The University of Regina is now issuing secured official transcripts through the MyCreds™ | MesCertif™ platform. Notifications will be sent to your email to let you know when your transcript is available in MyCreds™. If you need a paper copy of a document that is normally issued in the platform, you will be provided with an option to make that request. Details about this process can be found in the Transcript section of their website.

How it Works

University of Regina Alumni Association (URAA)

As a graduate of the University of Regina, you are automatically a member of URAA, a non-profit charitable organization that was formed in 1974. It is governed by an elected volunteer board of directors.

The association's mandate is to promote the accomplishments and achievements of the University of Regina Alumni and its current students while supporting the development of the University of Regina.

As a member of the URAA, you are entitled to benefits and services that are exclusive to U of R graduates. URAA and the University of Regina strive to develop programs that are meaningful and valuable for its members.   Visit the URAA website to learn more!

  1. Entrants must be alumni of University of Regina: See section below for definition of “Alumni”.
  2. There is one prize of two tickets to the Edmonton Oilers vs Seattle Kraken game on December 4, 2025 (this will be referred to as The Prize). This prize is valued at $660 and will be randomly drawn on December 1, 2025 from a list of all entries received between November 26 to 30, 2025.
  3. You must update your contact information via this form in order to be entered in this Prize draw.
  4. The winner will be notified by phone and/or email on Dec 1, 2025. 
  5. The Prize must be redeemed at the event in-person and cannot be transferred to another person/party. No substitutions or exchanges.
  6. Upon agreement to these terms, The Prize winner’s name and email address will be provided to our sponsor, TD Insurance. TD Insurance will electronically transfer The Prize to The Prize winner.
  7. The Prize winner must agree to have their name posted on the University of Regina alumni social channels.  
Definition of "Alumni of University of Regina"
  1. Has completed an accredited program of the University, the University of Saskatchewan (Regina Campus), Regina College or any of their colleges or federated colleges.
  2. Has completed the Campus for All Inclusive Education Certificate offered by the University.
  3. Has completed a non-credit professional program of ninety (90) hours in length including the English as a Second Language (Advanced English for Academic Purposes) offered by the University.
  4. Has completed one of the following five Centre for Continuing Education professional certificate programs offered by the University: Business Analysis, Organizational Innovation, Professional Leadership, Professional Management, or Project Management; or
  5. Has the permission of the University of Regina Alumni Association Board.

Networking

Alumni Branches

University of Regina alumni are encouraged to get involved with branches in their area that provide opportunities to:

  • Stay connected to the University of Regina by participating in social and professional networking opportunities through a variety of events
  • Engage with fellow alumni in your community or with common interests
  • Participate in student recruitment by sharing their knowledge and experiences of the U of R with prospective students
  • Volunteer to assist with activities in their area

Alumni Chapters

Alumni chapters share interests, experiences or a field of study while attending the University of Regina.
University of Regina alumni can get involved with existing interest based program groups or enquire how to form their own by contacting the Alumni Relations office at uralumni@uregina.ca

Leadership Group involvement provides opportunities to:

  • Stay connected with the University of Regina by participating in social and professional networking events with other alumni with similar interests
  • Volunteer to assist with group events or activities
  • Volunteer for their faculty

Get to know your local U of R community by either attending or hosting an event. Hosting an event is easy. Just select a date and time, pick a venue, decide who you want to invite and connect with the UR Alumni Office who will help support you along the way.
